Direct2Drive $5 Game Sale
 

Something I just found out about yesterday, thought I'd share it with you guys. Direct2Drive is on their 5th year I guess and so they're having a month long sale of pretty decent games for five bucks each. If you never got around to buying them or were just waiting for the prices to go down, now is a great time to pick some of these up. Bioshock, Saint's Row 2 and Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena are just a few of the games available this week.

I'm probably picking up Riddick and Saint's Row 2. RPGs are up next week, so I'm pretty excited to see what they've got.

Sweet ass prices! I wish they had a list of all the games on the sale though. Anyway, I'm definitely interested in Tachyon The Fringe. It's been a long while since I've last played a space Sim and I've heard the game was good. I saw it on Steam but never got around to getting it.

The other games I want are games I already have. Meh.

Hmm, is Saints Row 2 worth 5 bucks? Honest question here.

Easily worth it, it's probably one of the greatest games of the year. I can't believe it's being sold for so little actually, almost makes me want to buy it again. I have it on 360, not sure how well it works on PC but it's definitely an awesome game.

It's amazing how all the games they're offering for $5 at D2D are titles I got already. Bastards!

EDIT: Whoops, spoke to soon, grabbed X-com complete package for $5. Awesome.

Well, its back up to its regular price now, I thought it was gonna be at 5 bucks for 5 weeks... oh well :\

but I don't get it, why is SR2 no long 5 bucks, but other games that were in that previous week, such as X-Com and Bioshock, ARE? *grumble*

Sorely disappointed at their "RPGs" this week. Assassin's Creed, while a good game, is not an RPG last I checked. And GTA: Vice City? Seriously? Except for Titan Quest and I guess Elven Legacy (which looks more like Civilization than anything) the rest are shitty MMOs that no one plays, except maybe EVE.

Given how many decent titles there were last week, I was hoping for something along the lines of Baldur's Gate or Might and Magic, or even The Witcher, which I've never played but heard it was actually pretty good.

I was just about to ask how Neverwinter Nights 2 was since that game had always caught my interest one way or another. :|

Maybe that Saints Row 2 things was a mistake? It certainly seems like it's too big a title to be selling for $5 to me...

I doubt it's a mistake. My guess is that certain games that have a certain demand to them are limited-time deals. X-Com, while great, is not going to be a big mover. I wouldn't be surprised if, say, Neverwinter Nights 2 went off-sale sooner than Elven Legacy.

I bought Thief and Neverwinter Nights 2 so far. If the latter turns out any good, I'll pickup that expansion that's also on there.
