Fingerprint software problem
 

Hi
I got a new laptop (Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook P8020) and have some problems with the fingerprint scanner which is located below the mousepad on my laptop. I was wondering if anybody could help me.
It came with a software from a company called AuthenTec and I did install it and updated the driver. Here's a screenshot:

Still it doesn't work.
I don't know of other softwares for fingerprints, but can I use other softwares beside the one made from AuthenTec? I'm asking because these kind of softwares may be restricted to the laptop company only (Fujitsu Siemens) ?
