Gamingforce Interactive Forums Fantasy Football League 2009
Well folks, August is just around the corner, and that means training camps, preseason, and fantasy football drafts. It means another chance at a .gif image of a trophy in your Yahoo! profile and bragging rights which never come of any use.
Actually, I'm curious if people want to continue with Yahoo or switch to another provider (say, ESPN). The major factor in my desire to switch is the free stat tracking on ESPN vs. $10 to get stat tracking on Yahoo. There's also a lot more customization on ESPN. Also, the change might help me win for once. :p So, anyway, thoughts? The season begins September 10, so we have some time to come to an agreement. (For what it's worth, I've already made a league on ESPN.com. It's apparently by invitation only, which is kind of silly, but all interested parties should PM me their e-mail address so I can send invitations.) |
I'm fine with either Yahoo or ESPN, stattracking is nice, but then again...shiny Yahoo trophies!
Did you send out invites and take them back? I got one but the link doesn't appear to be valid anymore. |
I didn't send any invites for ESPN because I haven't gotten any e-mails.
I deleted the Yahoo one temporarily I wanted to see what ESPN is capable of first. (ESPN does have trophies too. Many trophies.) |
I'm up for either as well. This is always something fun to mess around with every year.
|
Got three teams so far, which is a good start for having five weeks to the regular season. I know there's more people around who've played previously...
|
Just so you know, the StatTracker on Yahoo is free this season, which is kind of a big deal because their StatTracker applet is pretty awesome... my favorite from any of the fantasy sports providers. My football leagues have usually been on FleaFlicker because stat tracking was free there too, but I've usually bought Yahoo's anyway because it's the best and most entertaining.
Anyway, I'm down for some GFFFL09. |
Another week, another bump. Got seven more spots to fill in three weeks.
|
I'm totally down...I'll be pming you my e-mail very shortly.
Let's go Buffalo Bills.... |
Count me in
|
Alright, we're looking at seven people with two weeks to go until the draft. Need five more. I may consider merging my two leagues into one if people don't mind.
|
No objection here. Rather have a full league than it be GFF exclusive.
|
as long as we end up w/an even number of teams.
(i do wish we were using Yahoo! I am more familiar w/their leagues) |
*throws his Monopoly money into the thread*
LET'S DO IT... |
Alright, so we've got one week to the draft and five spaces still open. There are two pending invites to bighunt and his friend Matt, and I have three other spaces which I'm offering to people from my other forum. If there are still people out there who want to join up, PM me, otherwise we should have a full, 12-team league by the draft next Saturday.
(bighunt, you and your friend have until Thursday to accept my invitation or you're losing out to people from the other forum.) |
Weird, I sent you a PM regarding my friend Matt as well. lol. I'll ask him if he's accepted the email invite if you meant my friend.
|
Err, that's who I meant. I thought it was bighunt's friend, for some reason.
|
I wanna know who's going to be doing the draft live this weekend.
|
Probably me? Can't say for sure with Zeph in town.
We still need one more person for a full 12. |

So without being able to do the live draft...I'm afraid to look at my players X_X
|
I missed the live draft because of an unforeseen issue that came up last night, BUT...
I did get Adrian Petersen. So that's good. :P |
That's a pretty awesome random pick up.
Football starts tonight! I'm a little worried about the loss of polamalu on my Steelers defense :-( |
