"Last edited by" doesn't show on Play By Post subforum
Just curious - is this by design?
Not that it's extremely important or anything. Though, it may conceivably be relevant for some specific play-by-post games. |
Are you certain? I'm sure I've seen 'last edited by' in D&D.
Perhaps you edited a post and it was just within the grace period? |
Hmm, you're right. It just doesn't appear in the "Play by Post" subforum (for example - nuttyturnip's first post on the MegaScrabble thread).
Whoops. |

Hmm.
To test this out, I made edits to all my posts in this thread. >> http://www.gamingforce.org/forums/pl...-even-odd.html On the last post (ID 687524), I indicated an edit reason in the quick edit box, and later removed the reason. That makes the "Edited by" appear. Otherwise it does not. Interesting. BTW, I love men so much it hurts. |
I can confirm that something flaky has been going on with edit notices in the Basement. I don't know why exactly, but I have had edits not marked on several occasions. Not that it matters overmuch, but we should give Zerg the benefit of the doubt and assume that he is merely spergin' rather than spergin' and paranoid.

Yeah, I can confirm this too. I edited this post twice, the first time roughly ten minutes after it was made, but it doesn't have an edit notice. I just figured it was a fluke and not worth mentioning.

It's not just Mom's Basement. I edit the first post of GFF Radio every week, but it says I last edited it on March 4 (before that it was Encephalon in February, and I'm curious as to what he edited, but whatever).

I've seen a lack of edit notices all over the place.
I don't get why it's a problem, though. If it's really that much of a pressing issue, mods can see which posts have been edited (and when) through the "Thread tools" dropdown menu. |
