Running a Web Server
I have a web page that I would like to launch, and I have been looking into running it out of my room on a spare comp that I'll turn into a server. I'm planning on running it on CentOS.
My questions is... aside from a static IP address, what else could prevent me from running a web-server from my home. A classmate of mine says that if I'm NAT'ed, then even if I have a static IP address I can't host a web server. I don't understand why. Is he right? What other concerns are there? |
