Proper nonshakycam version

So basically Phantom Hourglass but trains and you can control a Dark Nut. Line me the fuck up!

OmagnusPrime Mar 26, 2009 02:30 AM

New Zelda game with a crazy premise, count me in.

Dark Nation Mar 26, 2009 06:19 PM

Neat! I'll probably pick this up when it comes out, which from what I've read on some blogs should be in 09.

Some of the puzzle sequences from Phantom Hourglass seem to have gotten upgraded or tweaked.

Scent of a Grundle Mar 26, 2009 06:27 PM

The battles will probably end up being either extremely easy or extremely difficult - it'll depend on how well the developers think we're going to be at using Link's new meat-shield.

ZELDA SPIRIT TRACKS WILL BE THE GREATEST ZELDA GAME EVER

Fighter navigator Link wanted out. He was looking for something more than the boring missions he'd been flying lately. Bringing his views to Zelda, he had his wish granted, and soon found himself flying the last bombing mission for the forces of Wisdom over war-torn Hyrule. But when he talked pilot Tingle into veering slightly off-course to examine an interesting Darknut formation, the two were brought down by swarming Keese. Now Link is stranded alone, trying to outrun pursuing dodongos, while Zelda desperately tries to get him out. But her efforts are hamstrung by politics, forcing Link to travel far out of his way, while evading the constant attacks of Ganon's troops, and she'll have to break all the rules if she wants to help him in time.

I'd have called the thread Densha De Zelda, personally.

As long as they don't have a new Tomb of the Ocean King (the sole reason why I never bothered to play Phantom to the end) I'll probably take a look at this.

Game's looking pretty good actually. Good but hilarious. Zelda is a ghost. Link has the rope-snake. GANON IS AN EVIL TRAIN.

Would this not be the first Zelda game in which Zelda is actually present for the majority of the game? What is this? It's crazy, that's what it is.

The Plane Is A Tiger Nov 7, 2009 01:26 AM

Zelda possessing suits of armor to help you sounds like a pretty neat thing to add. There's something amusing about the big armor shrieking in terror at a rat.

This is still touchscreen-only like Phantom Hourglass, right? I really hate that, and it made PH so much more frustrating than it should have been. If they'd just let you use the D-pad and buttons for basic things then I would be able to get excited about this.

FatsDomino Nov 7, 2009 01:30 AM

Honestly the only thing about Phantom Hourglass that was frustrating (or rather, annoying) was that damn timed dungeon. Also collecting boat pieces was kinda buh. Control-wise I didn't really have any issues with PH besides rolling. That was hard to grasp at first.

So I'm CHOO CHOO'n underwater following tracks and shootin some angry octoroks with torpedoes while dodging evil trains and WOO WOO'n golden dolphins doing flips and shit everybody gettin all wet and pirates board my train out of nowhere. Then I'm being slapped around by a BSDM fat man from hell with a whip. Later after I figured out his game he's loving my rope snake whip thing with every inch of his body. Oh what's that? I think I'll jam on flute pipes a bit. TOOT TOOT TOOT TOOT.

Confirmed best CHOO CHOO LINK game ever.

Sousuke Dec 7, 2009 04:47 PM

I've been playing this for almost a week now, and I'm loving it. Just about to head into the Ocean area, and it's pretty awesome so far.

The whole scene where...
Spoiler:
Zelda goes crazy because her body was stolen
...was hilarious.
