Apparently it will be en extension[?] of Resident Evil 2.
RE 2 being the single one I have yet to play, might be a good opportunity to catch up on the storyline.

All of the pictures above is in-game, and it's still pretty early development I think, this is fawking sexy.


It's an on-rails shooter, but apparently it will have a few quirks, evasive manoeuvres and such.

I really loved RE:UC so I'm looking forward to this a lot.

I really hope this will be a good game, graphically it looks better than most games I've seen on the Wii, and RE:UC kept me busy for a while, I'll be holding my thumbs for this one. :3:

Aw sweet! I was a little disappointed that UC didn't have RE2 and RE4 in it (4 I can understand, but 2?) so this is a nice surprise. I'll definitely get it if it's 2 player like the first one. The trailer didn't show any indication of such. It's looking good so far, better than UC.

There's co-op!

i am pretty excited for the graphics, but nonetheless i was waiting for a resident evil that maybe could make use of the control schema of the wii

Seeing how sexy that looks makes me not only want this game pretty hardcore, but it also has me wondering why RE 2 and Nemesis got shafted and were never remade like 1 was on GC. I hope the game is good enough to warrant a full remake of at least 2.

Keepin' my eye out on this one.

There WERE ports of RE2 / RE3 to the gamecube, but they didn't get much, if any, of a facelift:

I did hear a rumour that they might remake 2 / 3 to be like Resident Evil 4's Wii Edition and feature waggle controls and over the shoulder perspective, but that was before learning about this, so maybe this is Capcom's way of giving us a remake without actually doing a remake?

I knew about the ports (which is why I said "remade like 1 was") because I was disappointed they were just ports instead of full remakes. Would love to see that rumor come true though, hopefully a multi-platform release instead of just Wii. However it looks like when this game comes out I'll be dusting off the Wii since it doesn't get much use other than when I have an urge to play Raving Rabbids (which is a shame since I gotta give NiGHTS a shot).

YES! This is a definite must buy now, but I was most likely going to get it anyway just to see more of Leon (I enjoyed RE4 a lot) although I dunno how co-op's gonna work though. I'm assuming the game takes us through RE2 (and hopefully beyond), but Leon and Claire are separated the majority of the time so who is the 2nd player? A ghost with a gun?

Still, I'd also like to see a new RE game with Wii controls. RE4's Wii controls was amazing.

No, it wouldn't be worth their time and money to make a $60 remake of that.

Most exciting thing for me from Resident Evil since...er...a long time. RE2 was my favorite, and now a railshooter for it...co-op too. Maybe I'll actually play my wii now.

Excited, I'll keep my eye out for this.

Also, I await upon real gameplay screenies...although anything will be a step up from the gamecube/ps1/n64 editions.
