XIII - the made-for-tv movie

NBC.com - XIII

Anybody else notice this? It looks like it's based on the video game "XIII" (which may be based on a comic or other series of which I'm unaware). I'm thinking of skipping the Grammies to watch this. (The Grammies, i.e. hip-hop, are not relevant to my interests...) I assume this flick will be utter trash, and I haven't played the video game it's based on, even though at one point it was $4.99 at Gamestop. I did play the demo though; it seemed like a good-enough game, just not a great one.

Yeah, it's actually based on the Belgian graphic nov- sorry, comic book for any double-bluffing pretentious faggots out there. The game was pretty stylish from what I remember, and I'm not familiar with the comics, but whatever; it's Val Kilmer. Ask yourself what could possibly go wrong!

Why didn't they just get David Duchovny to play the assassin since he did the voice in the game? The game itself was pretty good especially with good use of the stylized cel-shading. I'll watch this movie for curiosity's sake.

This is actually just part one of a miniseries (which already aired in France or something sometime last year), with the second part airing next Sunday.

I didn't watch it aired, but I plan on downloading it and watching it sometime later this week. I really enjoyed the game, despite not being that big a fan of cel-shading, and was only disappointed in that the story ended on a cliffhanger (and I highly doubt we're getting a sequel). Hopefully this miniseries goes past where the game ended, since we don't have all the comics here to finish the story that way.
