Yuusha 30 - A Game Played In 30 Second Intervals

Strange concept, but Marvelous Entertainment, who brought us Harvest Moon, is developing a PSP RPG, that is played 30 seconds at a time, literally. Here's the official site, and there's some game play information here. As odd it is to think about playing an RPG in 30 second intervals, it's nice that it's being made for PSP. We could always use more games on the platform. I hope this comes over.

The idea of designing an RPG around short-interval play is nice, but that advantage is automatically negated by dictating how long your playtime lasts. Now it's mostly just a novelty.

This game also caught my interest when I first saw it making me think of a combination between Warioware (time spans) and Dokapon Kingdom (fusing the rpg genre with another). I find it a little strange the way they chose to mix the incredibly pixelated sprites with the more detail character portraits, but hopefully the gameplay is fun enough. I can handle the shooting, RPG, and action elements just fine, but I think I'd be garbage at the RTS parts. It would be interesting to see just to what degree you need to be a jack of all trades to do well in this game.

Well it's not really "dictating how your playtime lasts" is it? What's stopping you playing two 30 second stages back to back?
