Similar in format to the Hitoshi Sakimoto liner notes feature we did for Valkyria Chronicles, we've had composer Jared Emerson-Johnson supply us with his thoughts on some of his and our favorite tracks from the latest Sam & Max Season 2 score.

Season 2 not only features the great traditional jazz style from the first season, but also works in different kinds of material, including ambient, techno, and mariachi. Definitely a great score, and you can currently pick up Season 1 and 2 together for $29.99 on the Telltale website.

Does Emerson-Johnson do all of Telltale's scoring? I notice that he did Bone as well (another very enjoyable bit of music, that).

He actually works for an external audio team that Telltale contracts work out to. He also is doing the upcoming Wallace & Grommit (spelling?), and does work on the Strongbad game.
