Chrono sequel for Xbox 360?
It seems that on April 6th, Microsoft will host a Press Conference to announce new games; a Square-Enix project, a Namco project, a top-secret Level 5 online game and others.
One of the projects has supposedly been revealed on Japanese message boards by Famitsu Magazines as Chrono Grance, the new sequel to the Chrono series. It seems that Sakaguchi himself will be responsible for this game. Whether or not Square will be involved has not been revealed. Link to the French site who reported the news: http://www.jeux-france.com/news15143...e-6-avril.html Discuss! :edgartpg: |
Holy fuck. Seiken Densetsu and Chrono sequel? I won't believe this until it is made official.
|
Yeah, not a big fan of those, but it must be a big surprises for fans of these series.
Still, it'll all get cleared up later this week. |
Wh-Wha!?
I don't know if that's a good thing, or a bad thing. I want more information, :/ |
Holy shit. Sequel to CHRONO? ;_; I really hope it gets official. I could care less about Blue Dragon if they will eventually release Chrono.
|
Played the first Chrono and still love it to this day. The fact that Hironobu Sakaguchi is supposedly behind this one makes it quite interesting, I must say.
|
Guys, the site says that it's probably an April Fool's joke. Why the fuck would Squenix release shit for the Xbox, which has like 0 userbase in Japan?
|
Wow, that's interesting. I wouldn't mind a new Chrono game, and it's good to hear that people are possibly developing RPGs for the Xbox circle. First xbox was pretty dry there.
If it's a 4/1 then oh well. |
Well they said to keep in mind that this is the April Fool's period. They didn't state whether or not the Famitsu info was released on 4/1.
|
Seeing as how the dregs of April Fool's day haven't yet disappeared, i'm inclined to distrust this news, but there's still a little peice of me that's hoping it's real.
|
Come on. The X-Box? Squenix's main market is Japan - nobody in Japan has an X-Box, why would they suddenly make high profile games for it?

Yeah, since Sakaguchi went to Microsoft for Mystwalker Studios, we can expect some good RPGs in the future, especially Lost Odyssey which has a wicked story. Plus, there's the possible Phantasy Star Online which has been rumored for a while now on the 360. |
They could release it on any console, and it would still sell.
The Japs would simply have to put aside their fake pride. JAPANESE PRODUCT IS GOOD, NO AMERICA :: DOA Volleyball:: XBOX SUGOI |

Look around the web and you'll find the main story. |

What's Batman's Main Story about? Well, his parents were killed by a criminal so he dresses up at night to fight crime. What's Cast Away's Main Story about? A Fed Ex employee gets stranded on a remote island because his plane crashed in the ocean. What's Lord of the Rings Main Story about? In a Fantasy setting, various races are trying to find a way to destroy a powerful ring that may bring the end of their world. The MAIN STORY isn't the complete shit! Stop trying to find faults in every one of my posts and grow-up, you juvenile bastard! |
God, I hope this news isn't true ;_;
I'd hate to think I'd have to go out and buy an xbox just to play a sequel that would more than likely be a big dissapointment. |
You people have some serious rage issues.
+ what megalith said about japanese people and their xbox. If you put a killer ap on a console, people will buy it. Hell, Oblivion has caused me to step up my plans to buy an Xbox circle {why would I want to spend $300 on a video card for my PC when I wouldn't play any other PC games, rather than spending $400 on something I planned on buying at some point anyway which will have many games I want}. |

Seris: There isn't much hope of this being true. Don't worry too much about it. russ: I'm not angered at all, perfectly calm. |
If this is true, it would mean that I would have to buy a 360, which I don't want to do. Hopefully there will be a new Chrono game, but it won't be for the 360.
|
how do you know people in japan don't have a 360? I run into countless japanese people online in PDZ. I've played with a couple thousand of them and talked to them and the 360 is surely but slowly picking up steam in japan.
