[HELP] Audio Driver Problem?
At one point in time, my old sound card had to retire. So I thought I could use the in built sound of the motherboard. First I uninstalled the programs for my broken sound card. After that, I installed the audio driver from the cd of my motherboard.
(BTW my motherboard is a P5GD1-VM Asus...am running Windows XP SP2). When I restarted my PC, the error “Microsoft Bus Driver should be loaded in your system before installing Realtek HD Audio Driver" appeared. I checked this out and saw that there was a couple of quick fixes for it. I tried them.. just double clicked to install them and tried the sounds still nothing. I tried to look into the problem in other site but all the tech talk has left me dizzy. So I was wondering if there was a easier way to fix this. If not, is there an alternate way to get the sounds back on? (preferably without buying a new sound card) |
You might have to install the Chipset Drivers before the Audio one (at least that's what I always do).
I would also check the settings in BIOS to make sure that it's set to use onboard audio. |
