What women think about women's suffrage

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71AT1...earch=suffrage

SHEER GOLD.
I seriously believe the girls in this video didn't know what suffrage was. Some might have signed as a joke but others seemed hellbent on signing a petition they probably thought was to end women's suffering or something.

Darkcomet72 Apr 4, 2006 04:43 PM

HOLY **** AWESOMENESS.

Although if he was just asked women if they knew what it was, it would probably have a similar effect. BUT HE TAKES THAT TO THE NEXT LEVEL.

Greykin Apr 4, 2006 08:20 PM

"SMART CHICK" lol, I love it how the girl behind her just jumps on the opportunity and signs if after lol!

Shenlon Apr 4, 2006 08:41 PM

Suffrage, not Sufferage ^_^
Seems like only 2 people knew what it was. And that dude looked like napolean if only he didn't have any emotion.

Helloween Apr 4, 2006 08:53 PM

This guys like the next Rick Mercer (huge Canadian icon for anyone who doesn't know)

I like how all of one person knew what it meant.

Hilarious video.

Skexis Apr 4, 2006 09:17 PM

It was funnier when The Man Show did it, but even then, it was kind of a stupid premise. I doubt most guys know what the term means either.

SemperFidelis Apr 4, 2006 09:20 PM

Oh, come on... Anyone that took American history or American history II will eventually learn about the 19th amendment and women's suffrage.. BTW, these are AMERICAN girls.

Luckee Cookie Apr 4, 2006 09:39 PM

Some people take history from one ear and out the other.

This proves it! :tpg:

How does that negate anything I just said? You can probably bet that those girls didn't take american history, or hadn't heard this relatively archaic term, or they would know!

It is really quite a simple concept and I do not know why you are defending what amounts to a bunch of Jackass posers!

Ryuu Apr 4, 2006 09:59 PM

...

Wow. That was amazing and hilarious at the same time.

I'm pretty sure that's what threw them off...well...probably not. :P

But I thought it was hilarious when the girl said "No" but then a girl behind her walks over and says "Yes". Good stuff.

nazpyro Apr 5, 2006 02:40 AM

Yeah, it was funny when the Man Show did it. This was somewhat entertaining though. Whatever. All in all, we should end women's suffrage.

Synthesis Apr 5, 2006 03:05 AM

That was hilarious when that one girl signed it and her boyfriend behind her was like "You idiot, that's your right to vote." hahaha

kupomog Apr 5, 2006 05:29 AM

Funny. The comments for that vid are equally funny. Mainly the angry rantings of willIsAFool.

IdleChill Apr 5, 2006 12:46 PM

So, anyone have a clip from when the Man Show did it? I seemed to have missed that.

WolfDemon Apr 5, 2006 04:09 PM

The video is gone... T_T

Haha.
Spoiler:
"We're ending women's suffrage"

(guy in the back)

"That's your right to vote!"

This is very funny indeed.

Taterdemalion Apr 8, 2006 02:59 PM

What does this say about the Department of Education when they rated this school excellent? I think we need to raise our standards.

Locke Apr 10, 2006 03:47 PM

I think the best were the girls at the end - almost the anti-women's sufrage cheerleaders!

That and the SINGLE girl who realized what was going on BEFORE signing the petition (although they probably had to cut out a bunch of other girls who figured it out, hopefully).

SemperFidelis Apr 14, 2006 05:35 PM

For the record, I have tried the same thing in my school, and I have unfortunately accrued over 30 signatures, all women.

Oh okay! Let's credit The Man Show for singlehandedly resurrecting the word, because it has until then and since winked out of existence. What an idiot.

Lythial Apr 14, 2006 08:12 PM

Yeah...today the term used most often is the franchise vs. suffrage

but for those girls to sign it without actually knowing what it was...was just plain stupid >_< they should have asked for a clarification or something *sigh* didn't their parents ever tell them that?

Leknaat Apr 14, 2006 08:50 PM

Oh My God!

I am ashamed to be a member of this sex.

As a result of this: Yes--it IS "Sufferage!" (I'm suffering right now)

*throws self off building*

Watashi_Baka_Da Apr 14, 2006 09:09 PM

wow...it's like they never when to school ever.

....I think I am suffering too.

handzxxd0wn Apr 16, 2006 06:21 PM

Wow...
I mean, all I can say is, wow...

How stupid can you get?
