Youtube seems to be forming urls when you're browsing from the UK in the form of:

I was kinda hoping there was a way we could fix it so I could still just copy and paste links from the "Url" box on the Youtube page without having to think about changing them.

Really? I never knew that. That's possibly an improvement on replacing uk with www each time but those old click-ctrl-c-open tag-ctrl-v-close tag-click post habits will be hard to break. :(

This thread has been most enlightening and useful, as I had similar problems with Youtube forcing me to use the French regional version for some reason. Props go to everyone who helped contribute! :)
