uk.youtube.com

Youtube seems to be forming urls when you're browsing from the UK in the form of:

Code:

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=4aD6U3mG_9g
Which don't seem to work in our Youtube tags and return a malformed ID error when you click through. Is there any way to fix this?

I was kinda hoping there was a way we could fix it so I could still just copy and paste links from the "Url" box on the Youtube page without having to think about changing them.

sorry pal that won't work

Well that's not very efficient is it? Call yourself a German?

You don't need to paste the entire url, just the 4aD6U3mG_9g portion will work.

Really? I never knew that. That's possibly an improvement on replacing uk with www each time but those old click-ctrl-c-open tag-ctrl-v-close tag-click post habits will be hard to break. :(

Now you should be able to use any of the regional YouTube variants in tags, here's a Japanese one to test:

You need to add a way to simultaneously prop and diss a post because...I mean, freaking a, CHz.

This thread has been most enlightening and useful, as I had similar problems with Youtube forcing me to use the French regional version for some reason. Props go to everyone who helped contribute! :)
