Optical Audio Cable splitter
Since I can't think of a better place to ask this, I might as well try here. What I'm looking for is a splitter that will allow me to hook up two devices through optical audio cables into one input. Specifically, I'd like to be able to hook my HDTV (which has an optical audio cable output for DD5.1 channels) and my Xbox/DVD player into a reciever that only has one input for an optical audio cable. I've tried 2 Radio Shacks, CompUSA, Best Buy, and Circuit City without any luck. I'd prefer to get it as a reasonable price ($15 or less total), the only two online sites I saw with it charged $10 for shipping alone. Also, if you have an optical audio splitter than can turn two outputs into one input, can you also use it to turn one input into two outputs?
If anyone can give me any suggestions or point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. |
Doesn't exist. Use Analog for one of the devices.

You can also try a switch:

More then what you want to spend but I doubt it would be cheaper except on eBay. Does your receiver have a coaxial input, then you can try this: http://www.cablewholesale.com/catalo...udiocables.htm "Digital Fiber Optical (Toslink) to Digital Coaxial (S/PDIF) Converter" http://www.cablewholesale.com/specs/10tr-08300.htm $18 For the output question: http://www.cablewholesale.com/specs/40av-81002.htm Quote:
