Summary:
Zedd is a 15-year-old boy who lives in Calm. He is frustrated by daily life, and he's seeking for the place to try his possibilities.
One day, a mysterious wind invites him to a time-space crevasse. He dives into the crevasse seeking for the answer that might be there.
Where he lands is another world. There, "Shadow Casters" have been fighting against each other endlessly using “Shadow”, which is a crystal of magical power. With the power of Shadow, the Shadow Caster uses magic and monsters called "Split".
Fascinated by the power, Zedd wants to be a Shadow Caster. However, he doesn't know that a big Spirit, "Amil Gaul", lies in his body, and that its power is so large as to influence the future of this world…



So this is a new anime series for the 2006 line up. I got interested in it when I first saw a few images of it. What I didn't know is that any person that can use "Shard Casting" Has their own sort of gaurdian or something.
The first episode just came out and it seems like it could be a good series. Although the story of the lone wolf is a little overused. The flow of the animation goes smoothly so I have no complaints about that but there was one character that seemed as though he didn't belong with the series almost as if he was out there from another show. I'll wait for the second episode to reveal more characters and some more of the plot so it can be more understandable.

I'll see if I update with some character profiles but for now here is the link for the first episode, although I'm not sure about the reputation of the sub group.

This makes me feel somthing like JoJo's Bizzare Adventure made love to Shin Magami Tensai...

Just watched first episode and I have to say it looks interesting =) Shame that weird clock apers at the top left corner and makes fun less entertaining. Hope that any other group will take care of this project and release clean version on better rip.

2nd episode have more action! Action move the the fantasy world where Zed discovere he's true destiny!! You have watch it! New FanSub Team is translating it [Gekido].

I just joined the fansub group Gakido-Fansubs to make sure their releases are quality from now on. Our raws don't have the clock on the top left. The reason Kyuu's raws have the clock is because it airs in the morning so people don't miss school or work, when it re-airs later it doesn't have the clock.

Have to say that [Gakido] made a good job with "No Timer" things and translation. Only thing that piss me off is font... I don't know why but I don't like this font. Cool site thanks for it!!

hmmm, there may be some iffy parts in the story line...but overall it looks like something that could keep me entertained for awhile.

gotta say that this series was interesting, but then in episode three i found that the fighting scenes are crappy animated. no action at all
and also it seems to be pokemon wannabe

Well it isn't Ergo Proxy or Air Gear but it's good snack while waiting for another episode =)

Heh the "pokemon" word also crossed my mind.
I figure it'll be a decent show, even if you can guess the story guide lines from the opening. Typical from-nobody-to-prodigy-kid show, much like Air Gear imo.

Well... just watched 5th episode and I have to say I'm more and more bored it this Anime... I move it to the bottom of my download list and I'm really thinking about stopping watching it. I'll give it one more chance and after episode 6th I'll decide.

I stopped after the first episode since I thought that the characters weren't good looking at all (Zedd's mom, Zedd's eyes, etc.), plus the fact that the world Zedd was in seemed very dark and bleak. Does the atmosphere become more vibrant? The shard casting stuff was neat but it didn't entice me as much as it could have.

Erm you should see 2nd episode... it's in totaly different world now =) So you may get back to it.

eh? didnt you see Zedd went into that portal like circle?
