Task list software
OK, I'm looking for either some type of software or technology to allow me to keep track of a task list, and have the following requirements in order from most to least important:
1) Version control/history OR automatic backups at regular intervals. 2) Accessible from any computer (i.e. it's on a server connected to the Internet -- I have my own server I can work with if needed) 3) Can store a cached version on my local machine automatically every time I access the list. This way, if I have no Internet connectivity for some reason, I can at least read the list. I've tried a few different setups, but none of them have been able to fulfill all of the requirements. Do you geniuses have a solution for me? |
Task list like to-do? Hmm. Except for version control it sounds like Remember the Milk would work well. It's a web-app so it's accessible anywhere, it's compatible with Google Gears for offline use, has mobile versions for remote access and submissions via e-mail... And it does maintain a history of one's tasks, but not in any versioned sort of way.

P.S. How's it going Mr. Killmon? I haven't seen you around for a while. |
I having trouble understanding what exactly you are looking for.
What about something like 'Remember the Milk'? Remember The Milk - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Remember The Milk: Online to do list and task management Or revision control software like CVS? Comparison of revision control software - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |

I had considered CVS, but it's too large of an implementation, and not directly suited for my needs. Thanks for the suggestions though. |
