Get It While It's Free: Metal Slug 7 Soundtrack

Perhaps a lack of oversight, but the US website for Metal Slug 7 is hosting the full soundtrack for the game:

Metal Slug 7 on Nintendo DS(TM)

Funny because they just released the score in Japan for 2,000 yen on iTunes. Only a matter of time before they find out. Feel bad for the people who dished out $20 for 18 tracks that they could have got for free. We posted about this over at OSV if you're interested:

The tracks on that page are encoded in FhG (fraunhofer encoder) 128kbps, so I guess they are in lower quality compared to iTunes' files. They sound quite alright to me though. And to save everyone some work, you can get the files from here if you want.

The loop lengths of the songs are the difference.

Scrap Island (Stage 1) on JPN iTunes release is 4:44, while on the website freebie it's only 1:46 in length.

Fixed length tracks are the same though, as Melody of My Own Way (Ending) is 2:08 on both versions.

Thanks for hosting it! I went to the MS7 site and half of the pages seem broken. Same for Firefox 3 and IE7. Don't know what's going on.

Hell, before I saw this thread, I didn't even know a Metal Slug 7 existed.

The fact that the site is built in flash doesn't help either. Can't right click and save in certain browsers.

I don't think you can even right-click to save the files in any browser. You'd have to click to open them, then save.

Ah, clever. Yeah. Well, I have quicktime installed, so I can't even save them at that point!
