Dual head graphics card

I've built myself a computer for web design that is near silent. I'm looking for a card that meets this criteria:

-nVidia-based chipset
-Fanless
-Dual head (2 X DVI plz :)
-AGP (PCI and PCIE are not options)
-Power equal or greater than Geforce2

That basically sums it up. It's not going to be used for gaming in the least. A Geforce2 would do in this case. Any info on a card with this stuff would be great.

Just about every single video card currently made supports Dual Video Cards. Name a price range.

Cheap as possible, but still has to match the above criteria.

i don't see any nvidia dual-head(dvi) video cards at all that are agp.

the only card that conforms to your guidelines is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102580 but it's not nvidia, and it's expensive. you probably can get 1dvi and 1vga port very easily but 2 dvi is harder.

here's all you need. nvidia, AGP, good price, dual head DVI. i guess rushjet1 didn't look hard enough ^_^;;

or i guess i did, since the card you linked to is not fanless

How about this one?

Only problem is, it doesn't have dual dvi port. Rather, it has a D-sub and a dvi port. Most of the time video cards come with a D-sub to dvi adapter. If not, just look for one at your local computer shop.

RushJet1 Apr 3, 2006 04:50 PM

well yeah, there are a lot of those (it would help if the author of this thread didn't care if he had one d-sub or not)

Dual head displays are usually rather expensive and used for workstations in some kind of work environment as they can't play games (well not properly anyway). In your case, if you want dual dvi it's probably better to get a mid range gaming graphics card with dual dvi like a 6600gt. It's much cheaper than any of the dedicated multi display cards I know of. And anything that has single vga and a dvi output doesn't count as those are designed for one display only but with the option of outputing to both as extra functionality.

"Doesn't count"? They work perfectly fine for anything short of graphics rendering. This guy's using the machine for WEB DESIGN. Giant, intensive activity there, ayep.

Not just that - "Cons: VERY loud fan(because it spins at full-speed)."
