Making a FTP
 

Hey guys, I'm thinking of starting a FTP for VGM and I was wondering if anyone had advice. I'll have to do it remotely and I plan on using Filezilla Server to set it all up. I'm just asking for basic tips and advice, and if I'm making a big nono by using Filezilla Server and expecting to be able to manage it remotely.

Personally I wouldn't use Filezilla. I've been using Gene6 for a few years now and I really like it. It's pretty cheap too, and a good product. Not many updates...but then again I don't think it really needs any. Lots of addon scripts though which is nice and they're free. Good remote management capabilities too. I'm assuming this is a Windows server? If not then there are better programs for linux. Thanks for setting up an FTP, more are always appreciated! What are the specs on the server?
