Eragon movie releasing this year!??!??!!!
 

i was really amazed when i heard this cuz i loved eragon so much i slept with it beside my pillow along with the lord of the rings.
anyway, im really excited. i need some information like about the cast, trivia, release date and stuff.pleee:biggrin: eee:biggrin: eese???????

Somehow one can just read the title "Eragon", having never even heard it before, and know that it's for NERDS.

Gah, have to read for several paragraphs of text just to learn the premise.

You fail for not reading the two books out so far. Seriously, they're in between the Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings in quality (with Harry Potter at the top naturally*). They're not as successful, but when you consider that the author wrote the first book at 15 (and graduated from college at 18 IIRC)... yeah. Read them.

The voice over on the site made me shrug it off as another Matrix clone.

I read the synopsis for the first book and groaned. Murdercrow's mentioning of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings made me groan harder. I'm kind of getting sick of these kinds of movies, but I'll probably change my mind once I hear/see more of what this one has to offer.

Im not really sick of the movies like Harry Potter/LoTR but I feel Eragon is nothing but crap. I borrowed the first book from a friend and after reading probably 1/4th of the book...decided that pages would be better suited as toilet paper. It wasn't my book so I refrained from doing such a thing but again my point is....Eragon isn't anything that special. I like how fans of the book...try to pawn off how great it is by telling people that the author was only 15 when he wrote it. Who gives a flying fuck? I could care less how old the author could be....it depends on how good the books are. In this case of this book...its horrible. I can just imagine how bad the movie will be...nothings worse then a movie based off of a borderline cult hit.

Eragon. The most shallow, stereotyped and unoriginal fantasy universe ever conceived.

Have to agree with whats been said above, this movie I am defeinitely NOT looking forward to. I can't actually believe they're making a movie of it so soon, the third book isn't even out yet!
