Are people that amused by alliterations?

Alliterations seem to be very popular, but when you really think about it, are people that amused with a phrase or sentence that uses the same consonant sound at the beginning of each word?

It definitely happens in a lot of Video Game levels. Such as Panic Pupper and Bayou Boogie.

People are really amused by small things aren't they?

I actually was thinking about that the other day while listening to one of my recent favorite songs. "Cascada - bad boy" ... I love the B emphasis. Check the song out if you wanna see what i mean.

Lyrics

Be my bad boy, be my man, be my weekend lover, but don't be my friend. You can be my bad boy, but understand that i don't need you in my life again.

So yes i am amused. ;)

Alliterations are catchy, but I hate when they're overused. A certain K alliteration is particularly disliked :o I guess alliterations aren't too bad when used in two words, but past that it gets annoying. eg. "Pretty Princess Peach's Parasol plopped open."

No, it's Krispy Kreme (lol)...actually I love Krispy Kreme. That's an acceptable alliteration in my book ;)

DKC3 was a game that got me annoyed with all of the alliterations for like each level, it just got annoying after a while.

Everyone's using alliterations a bit too much.

It depends on how good the alliteration is, or rather the effect of it is. If the alliteration is good then you probably won't actually notice it all that much, but bad ones tend to stand out like a sore thumb.

As for being amused by them, well if they're amusing then I guess so. I can't say I find them amusing by default though.

many phrases use them, e.g. 'back to basics', 'good to go', 'it takes two to tango'. I guess it makes them easier to remember.

I only realised this a little while ago and now I notice it all the time.

I had forgotten what an alliteration was. For some reason I thought it was of greater significance since I originally recall running into the word in British literature class. I suppose it's an okay technique, but I'm not all that amused with it; I find it too easy to pull off.

Which is probably the reason it's used so much. I believe I did find it more amusing when I was younger.
