Firefox 3 Character problem.
So far Firefox 3 has been great but I've had one minor quibble with it so far. Some setting must have been tripped where some of the special characters show up as numbered boxes such as this instead of what they're supposed to be.
Ex: Miles' journal entry in Japanese. http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e2...terProblem.png Now I realize that it probably has something to do with a Japanese font that I don't have but this also happens with a lot of Western characters as well. It's not IMPERATIVE that I fix it but, every once in a while I think, "Fuckin' hell. I wish I knew what that's SUPPOSED to say." |
Installing the Asian fonts should be sufficient
Assuming you use XP... Control Panel -> Regional and Language Settings -> Languages Tab -> check the supplementary language support boxes --> Ok You will need your Windows CD with you. |
Hey! That solved the problem! Thanks!
I also just realized that in typical fatigued / drunk / blown-out-of-mind fashion, I put this thread in the wrong forum. Sorry about that. |
