VGA Cord problems
 

To start off, I currently have a headless laptop and have been using the computer screen from my Compaq Desktop, now that I have a Toshiba plasma screen I found out that it can connect my laptop by a VGA cord but when connect my laptop to the Tv it states "not supported", but when I turn off the tv I can see a faint of my pc's desktop. So I'm kinda in a bind, any solutions?

Update gpu drivers from nvidia/ATi etc..

Check display settings under control panel including resolution, output etc...

And does your TV come with a driver disc?

I have no idea, I didnt look and the box is in storage. But i'll try to update the gpu drivers.
