How the fuck does this taste good

Drain a 20-oz can of pineapple chunks, mix with a shot and a half of spiced rum and topped off with cran-raspberry juice, then mix it with ice cubes.

It's the lamest cocktail ever but damn I love it. It tastes earthy and just a little sour.

What're your favorite cocktails, what's the recipe, and what does it taste like? Hell, for that matter, what's your really ghetto-ass cocktail/sammich/food-type item that sounds so lame but tastes so good?

chocolate sandwhich.

half a bar of choclate (or nutella, your choice), a shitton of peanut butter, a little bit of honey and if you'd like, half a banana (i steam it to make it sort of creamy and easy to spread on the bread). I use sourdough, but farmers bread works too.

diabetes!

The most simple cocktail ever; the Weeblue. The measurements are purely up to personal preference but it's Malibu rum mixed with blue WKD. Sweetest drink ever; not the kind of thing you want to get rat-arsed on, but a good long drink.

I'm sure people have done this before.

Dipping your French Fries into your Frosty at Wendy's. Hot, fried potatoes dipped into cold chocolate ice cream.

Still tastes good as hell though.

The_Griffin Jun 29, 2008 12:53 PM

oh god, I think I might've done that myself. And I've actually had gnutella sammiches. My sister LOVES the stuff, lol.

As an aside, try this out.

Make up a batch of couscous, with a cup of water and a cup of couscous. When it's done, fluff it up and empty it into a bowl. Mix in a package of cream cheese, and season to your taste (I prefer using salt, garlic powder, and Mrs. Dash).

Voila, a quick and simple spread.

As an aside, horseradish mustard and mayonnaise mixed together makes a surprisingly good base for a noodle salad.

Fill one quarter of your cup with tequila and the rest with the regular flavour of smirnoff ice. It has a really pleasant citrus flavour while still allowing you to taste the tequila minus the bite. Seems to horrify most people at first glance for some reason though.

I've made exactly that several times. It's just such a natural combination! Add marshmallows and grill the sucker to further increase the chances of cardiac arrest.

Another thing to try is an egg and cheese sandwich using cinnamon-raisin bagels with peanut butter (toasting optional). Sounds ridiculous, tastes delicious. GUH, now I have to go make one.

I poked it and it made a sad sound Jun 30, 2008 01:31 PM

I have no idea why it's so delicious.

I won't do it with Wendy's stuff, but McDonald's french fries with chocolate shakes is probably the most wonderful thing to ever come out of fast food chains.

I have no idea either. :tpg: I've never tried it with any other place but Wendy's though. I should try it some time though.

A bagel with chunky peanut butter and cut up banana pieces covering it...it's the best! My mom used to make it and I just had it the other morning mmmmm!

Because salty and sweet go together really well. It's why chocolate-covered pretzels are so tasty.

Pro-tip: Use a vanilla Frosty instead. =D

While I worked at Pizza Hut, I found it was delicious to dip my cheese sticks into the icing for the cinnasticks. I guess dipping would be the right word, more like drag them through the icing, because it is quite thick.

When I go to Subway, this is what I order every time:

A Meatball marinara with bacon and American cheese toasted.

Then to go on top, I get lettuce, mayonnaise, and tomatoes with a lot of salt.

It's basically like a BLT but with meatballs and marinara. And it's an awesome sandwich.

I can't get any of my friends to try it. :( They say that mayonnaise and marinara shouldn't go together, but works for me.

RacinReaver Jul 7, 2008 08:56 PM

Drop the mayo and that sounds pretty decent. I'm pretty much :gonk: to mayo and vinegar, so I've had to get creative with my salad dressings. I've found salsa and marinara sauce to both be delicious replacements.

waycoolguy Jul 8, 2008 11:49 PM

Marinara sauce is a suitable replacement for most any type of sauce. Except maybe chocolate sauce.

Trigunnerz Jul 10, 2008 01:33 PM

Anyone have Roscoe's?

Chicken. Hot sauce. Waffles. Syrup.

These actually go very well together. Add some grits, and you got a complete meal!

Peanut butter & banana sandwich. It's kind of an unusual mix to peanut butter (I am not an avid fan, but will enjoy a nice PB&J sammich once in a blue moon), but it's actually not too bad. The King knew his treats, I suppose.

I read somewhere that Elvis Presley fancied PB& Banana sandwiches

Shiny McShine Jul 13, 2008 01:33 AM

Let's see...how about this: When I was young I used to make tortillas with melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Come to think of it, that doesn't really sound like that odd of a combination, except for of course the tortilla. I'm sure many people have done this, but if you haven't tried it, I definitely recommend it.

Also, has anyone ever tried putting sugar on plain white rice with butter? The wrong amount of sugar can ruin your rice, but the right amount tastes just awesome :).

No. Hard Pass. Jul 13, 2008 02:09 AM

I get shit for this one all the time but a pilsner and Clamato tomato juice is a god's cure for a celestial hangover AND it tastes great. Fuck what you heard.

RacinReaver Jul 13, 2008 02:15 PM

There's actually a Budweiser bottle my parents had the other day that was beer, clamato, and lime juice. I tried some and thought the cacophony of flavors was a little rough, but I could see some people liking it. They were able to find it first out here, then at some store also in Jersey, so you should be able to find it somewhere enecph.
