How on earth do you work the ChocoJournal?
 

The newbie is very confused about because I can't for the life of me figure out how to start one.

You have to enable it in your 'Edit Options' in your user CP before you can make entries.

Now if I were you I'd run for the hills before they crucify you.

You can also activate it from the bottom of the Chocojounal main page, if I remember correctly.
