Kasimasi ~Girl Meets Girl~
 

Hazumu confesses his love to his friend Yasuna, but she turns him down. To ease his heartbreak, he goes by himself to Mt. Kashimayama, where he first met Yasuna. Hazumu is still wandering about the mountain as night falls when suddenly he sees a shooting star. He wishes upon the shooting star, only to discover that something's not quite right. The star continues to grow larger, and Hazumu discovere it is actually a falling alien space ship, which collides with Hazumu. With the aid of the alien, Hazumu is able to survive, but with one major difference -- his body has been changed from that of a boy to a girl.


Upon first impression, Kasimasi ~Girl Meets Girl~ appears to be nothing special. A boy who turns into a girl? A love triangle? The concept sounds done to death, but Kasimasi manages to pull it off wonderfully. From the delicate opening theme to the touching ending theme, each episode portrays itself in a serious, thoughful manner; many other gender bender/love triangle series are often comedies. While Kasimasi is not devoid of the occasional comedic bits or fanservice, they instead serve to accentuate the mood, not become it, which I think makes the series more worthwhile.

This is probably my favourite show right now, before I watched it I thought it would be weird and not that appealing to me but after I watched the first episode it started getting me more interested. Many of the fanservice-y scenes were actually pretty funny to me.

The relationships are kind of wacky in this show, probably since the male main character is turned into a female character right from the start. :p Especially Hazumu's friend Asuta, I found his scenes hillarious. >_>

Also I really like the OP, I think it's pretty cute. The music in the show is great too. :D

I can't wait to see more of it. :D

I've only seen up to episode 4 and i thought it was sort of interesting.
Once he turns into a girl he kinda just accepts it so theres no real trial there. And from what I saw its staying with the story from the manga which is a good thing.
My favorite character has to be the teacher, she keeps bragging how she only lives for her students and all that nonscence.
I'll catch up with the series a bit later in the future.

Heh, sort of a different spin on the "Cheeky Angel" scenario. I've read some of the manga, pretty decent.

While Kasimasi isn't my favorite series this season, it's certainly likable. Unrushed pacing, horticulture and lesbian love triangles remind me of Marimite in a way, which is good. It also has a certain cuteness and charm all its own.

At the same time, though, I don't like how the pacing seems TOO unrushed at times; that could just be me, though. Also, too many of the characters have very annoying traits; Hazumu is an airheaded crybaby, Tomari is overly bitchy most of the time and Yasuna is as indecisive as all getout, for example. NAMIKO is hilarious, which offsets her own airheadedness. And the science seems to confirm that boys and girls are different species entirely. Ayuki and the alien awesome, though.

This series clearly isn't for everyone, but if you're into slow pacing, horticulture, teenage lesbian ANGST! and crazy science fiction stuff, it's worth a watch.

Well, I decided to check this series out since I bought a new hard drive and I have room for anime and such now. It's interesting and funny so far (first two episodes), but Hazumu's father really creeps me out. :|

So episode #13/the Christmas OVA was finally released. [ torrent ] But people are saying it's horrible and too random. I suggest you watch it and make your own opinion.

I just finished the series up. I loved it. It was one of my favorite shows I’ve seen in a while for sure. I found it to go at nearly perfect pace, and it unfolded beautifully, for the most part. Or, that is until I watched the thirteenth episode, anyway. I almost wish I hadn’t watched the ova at this point. It seemed way to thrown together at the last minute to be enjoyable. It was sort of different animation to it, and the characters almost act like different people, it seems.

While I'm not going to argue against what you have in your spoiler bracket there, the concept was what really made the anime moreso than the payoff (or lack thereof) at the end. You already knew someone was going to lose out, and most of the anime had you taking a side leading up to the last episode. No curveballs, no swerves, not much of anything.

I watched it with that in mind, so the ending really didn't bother me as much as it might have other people. Of course, I haven't seen this newly released episode either.

Not my best series, but my friend kept pushing me to watch it. So I did, it quite interesting at least. Reminds me of the Pretty Face manga.. God I love that manga.. XD.
