Sydney Pollack dies, age 73
 

A good actor and great director. Out Of Africa was a little overrated by my scale but The Interpreter was unusually strong despite a bland script and Three Days of the Condor is outstanding.

Ahhh, what a bummer. Tootsie is one of my faves. Truly one of the greater filmmakers of our time.
