Tomb Raider: Legend
Let this thread be reborn from the ashes of the old Gamingforce.
I am a huge Tomb Raider fan. I own all of the Tomb Raider games, merchandise, movies, music, and so on. I am looking really forward to this game. It's been a long time coming. |
Off to General VHS, as it's also on Xbox, Xbox 360 and PC. =o Personally, I'm quite impressed at just how much bloom lighting they've managed to shove into the game. Move over EA!
|
I havn't really cared about a Tomb Raider game since "The Last Revelation" as they were all ok and below, but i'm really looking forward to this one, it looks very promising
|
It's actually quite good. It has a Prince of Persia: Sands of Time kinda feel. (Not that it's set in the middle east <_<'... That would be silly) I love the platform sections. Lots of swinging, jumping and tackling outrageously large puzzles.
|
I'm just downloading it since official release is on 07.04.2006 so in a 7 days. I want to check it before doing anything so insane as it was with getting TR:AoD.
Played the demo 3-4 times and I'm really impressed about the new engine, graphic, system and game physic. I really can't wait to see the final version. Hope it will be better then last one... |
I'll download this one, because everyone says it "goes back to the roots".
|
I never got to play TR before, but when I saw one of the gameplay vids for Legend, I thought: "Prince of Persia.... SOLD!" The adventuring/platforming sections look like a blast to play. My only concern now is the combat sections. The combat vid that I saw was quite disappointing, and I can't quite put my finger on why. It might be because Lara's pistols seem a tad underpowered or highly inaccurate, making it seem like each enemy takes way too long to kill.
|
Lara Croft's Ass is basically the only thing keeping the series alive.
|
i've played the game for 3 hours on PS2
i think it's a great game, lara is back and her ass yes, it's hypnotic the gameplay is really like Prince Of Persia but the combat system is not as good, luckily there aren't much combats there are a few problems though with the game : little camera problems, framerate going down sometimes on ps2, some gameplay problems in platform sections or auto-aiming in combat, etc... these are all small problems which don't really make it a bad game but i guess reviewers won't give mark higher than 8/10 best parts of the game are the level design, the physics (GREAT!!!) and there is a story (some good action, good puzzles and the you really know what you're doing, why and where you are, unlike TR2 for example where you were just sent into some level with no idea why ?? and what to do...) |
I don't know, I think this belongs back in the Sony Scape forum. As far as I am concerned, it IS still a Playstation game. I have not had the chance to play it yet. I didn't think it had been released yet...
The Last Revelation was an excellent Tomb Raider. Difficult, fun, great story... then... Chronicles and AoD. Now I admit AoD is pretty fun but it doesn't have that classic TR feel to it. As far as the new game getting back to it's roots, well... we'll see. I really hope they did. |
I was very disappointed in AoD, as it was an interesting game with some different gameplay concepts that weren't seen in previous Tomb Raiders, but it totally took the idea of "tomb raiding" and nixed it. I understand that it was supposed to be because Lara was "colder" and stuff, from her experience in Last Revelation, but still.
Now, after the AoD fiasco, when Eidos said they were handing the game from Core to Crystal Dynamics, I was iffy on the subject, but was willing to give it a try. And from what I've seen of Legends, I'm really glad they did give it to Crystal. It does indeed look like it went back to it's roots of raiding tombs and puzzles, then "kill people". The only thing I'm wondering is: does it even mention things from AoD, or is it trying to pretend that game never existed, OR does it mention some of Lara's past exploits, while Crystal tries to fix some of the mess AoD created. |
Waitin' for the Xbox leak so bad.
I like her tits are still the size of Earth. ::720p nips:: |

If it's an April Fool's joke, then it's Edios's joke, or just coincidence. |

"*fap* *fap* *fap* *fap*" Seriously, who bothers with a game for the simple aspect of half naked female characters? It's pointless. Go play Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball or something. |

As I've said before, they focus more on Lara Croft's Ass then the actual game in advertisements. It makes you think they know the game itself is a pile of crap but they're trying to make some sales off of Lara's "teh boobies!". |
More like, a great deal of loser guys. It'd be embarassing to walk into eb and buy Leisure Suit Larry.
I wonder how many people still think there's a nude cheat in Tomb Raider. Spoiler:
|
Played the demo a good couple times, loving it, will def. check retail out. I REALLY love the new engine and her new look.
