Eureka seveN [Sub Discussion - NO RAWS]

http://www.nanashi-fansubs.com/site/...seveN/info.jpg

Outline:"Renton Thurston is a 14-year-old boy who lived with his mechanic grandfather in a backwater town. Every day he dreamed of being with the mercenary "Light Finding Operation (LFO)" aircraft pilot group "Gekkostate" and riding "Trapar" particle waves-- a sport called "reffing"-- with their charismatic leader Holland, especially when faced with his father's acclaimed past or his grandfather's desire to protect him. When a young girl named Eureka riding the original LFO, the "Nirvash typeZERO", asks his grandfather for a tune-up, she inadvertently brings the attention of the military to the garage; as a result, the garage is destroyed and Renton is forced to deliver a new type of interface-- the "Amita Drive"-- to the Nirvash. After a heated fight in which the Nirvash destroys the military LFOs by unleashing an immense amount of power, Renton is invited into Gekkostate. However, he quickly realizes that behind the facade of a traveling group of mercenaries is a very bitter reality."

You can get the torrents from Nanashi here.

This thread is for subbed EPISODES ONLY. Do not talk about the raws, that would be much appreciated.

I'm really enjoying this series, it has everything you could want. The story is really beginning to get interesting about episode 20+ and seems to getting ever better in the 30s :) This will be one of THE classic anime series.

Latest Release - Episode 34

silvervalkyrie Mar 31, 2006 12:26 AM

I totally agree. I got this show about a week ago and have already gotten to 33. The characters are amazing, the story has so much room to grow, and I can't wait to see how it unfolds.

One thing though,

Spoiler:
Col. Dewey is one sadistic megalomaniac. I truly hope Renton kills him.

I hope they keep Talho around - she's really one of my favorites easily.

Spatula Mar 31, 2006 12:50 AM

Regarding Talho, for some reason her new looks turns me off. It's a just no look to me, but at least she's got the same razor like attitude. I've been following Eureka 7 for some time now, and I think I got to it when the first season had finished airing. It's definitely enjoyable and I love the 1st season OP theme: Days, as well as STORYWRITER --> my favorite tracks.

really great series so far.am also caught up with episode 33 and from what people are saying who watched the actual raws it stays pretty consistent all the way to episode 49.Also it looks like Eureka 7 is coming to Adult Swim in April.

The 5/6 Episodes batch is a fake by Nanashi, don't waste your bandwith on this idiot April Fools stunt.

CuteChocobo Apr 2, 2006 12:50 AM

LOL too late... did it ^ ^
But bah, wasted 1.3GB bandwidth... lucky I am using Uni's Cable! *mwahaha*

But yeah I love E7, can't wait for the 'actual' complete release of season 3!
Anyone got the "ray=out fan book"?

lordo Apr 2, 2006 04:28 AM

What's the ray=out fan book? Got a torrent?

Bad luck about the torrent, lucky you didn't use it at home being in Australia ;)

Federico17 Apr 2, 2006 08:40 PM

I really love the show so far. You barly see much romance in action anime. But i like how its playing out. By the way i just seen up to episode 33 but i cant get 34 and up. Is it that they dont have a english sub for them yet?

lordo Apr 3, 2006 03:08 AM

Yep, Nanashi is the only group subbing them and they've only released up to ep 33. Check the first post for a link to them =]

CuteChocobo Apr 3, 2006 10:31 AM

I have seen up to eps 43 for raw... and I am still loving it...

Yep, I wouldn't mind if another sub group started this, personally I'm not sure why another like Shinsen hasn't. Oh well.

I hate the wait.

Federico17 Apr 6, 2006 07:38 AM

Alright. I can wait this is eureka 7 and its well worth the wait!

lordo Apr 7, 2006 07:34 PM

Wow, 34, wow. What an awesome episode. The story just keeps on building and getting better. So much to understand

Spoiler:
Norbu is very interesting, and now we find out why Holland was so pissed off at Renton a lot of the time because Eureka chose him.

I'm sure there was some other stuff, but I can't remember

silvervalkyrie Apr 7, 2006 11:07 PM

You forgot one important thing:

Spoiler:
TALHO'S PREGNANT! ZOMG?!!!!

Oh, and what's up with Dewey's pony-tail? Anyone else think it's a little "childish" for a Colonel?

Federico17 Apr 7, 2006 11:42 PM

This has been bugging me lately, and maybe one of you know the answer. You know how their are lots of people that dl anime for free using torrents and such right? Well the sites that sub the shows what do they get out of it? Thats what i cant put my finger on and its been bugging me lately! So can anyone explain?

lordo Apr 8, 2006 12:04 AM

@silvervalk

Spoiler:
I care not for Talho with that haircut :P She can go get hair extensions then we'll talk :P

@federico17
Nothing really, besides the money they syphon from 'donation' drives into trading slaves.

CuteChocobo Apr 8, 2006 02:30 AM

OFF TOPIC ------
@ Federico17
I use to be a freelance translator for various manga scalation and anime subbing group. Why do I choose to volunteer to translate? Well my theory is "lending a helping hand" to others who wants enjoy the same materials that WE (ones who understand Jap) love. "Sharing is caring"

Also one of our main goal is to raise interest of these awesome, entertaining anime/manga to world wide audience and "hopefully" in return they can support the authors/creators that they love (But not those crappy English official translating companies). Most of us translators will always put subscript in our translation texts telling editors to put in this message: "Please support the author if you enjoyed our releases!!" ;)

As for the question "what do we get out of it"? Well... as lordo said, nothing much actually. However, that may not be true... RESPECT and FRIENDSHIP, is what most of the translating, editing, QCers, Raw-suppliers get out of 1-single release. In my personal opinion, RESPECT is a 'big' thing on the net. Like when ever I pop on IRC, many ppl will know me and talk to me. So its those minor details that make our hard work worth while.

'Donations' mostly are asked to upgrade servers, but new materials, or even feeding our ever-hungry editors <_< (well the last one ain't true). I remember even once there was a fan-sub who got sued and need to raise money for the law case... which many ppl are kind enough to donate.

Oh one thing that most of us hate are those leechers who don' appreciate things that they got and yet calling us "lazy", "crap" and all other insults for late or delay or even dropped releases. They gotta know that they get things for "FREE" ;) thats for one, and the other is that most of us translating/subbing 'slaves' actually "have a life IRL!". But those are just a minor percentile of the fan world.

Whoa, my blabbering had caused me to write like a extended essay >_<

Federico17 Apr 8, 2006 07:13 AM

@Cutecocobo

Hey thanks for the answer. So i can see now why you and you said were once a traslater do it. For that i have the utmost respect for people who take the time out of their busy life to satsify us(anime lovers). So once again thanks!

FatsDomino Apr 8, 2006 03:22 PM

Making way for the original Eureka seveN thread pre-crash. Please continue discussion there.
