VGM Rush v.2
 

Good day everybody,

Some of you might already be familiar with a website which covers the subject of Western game music: VGM Rush. Launched only a few months ago, its goal is to make light on game music created outside of Japan.

Since last December, I have been working on a new version of the site. The main objectives were to implement a PHP/MySQL system and to make it visually more attractive. Today, I'm elated to announce that these goals were met, along with a few other enhancements that found their way in.

Not much new content was added in the process however, yet now that the coding work is done, it is time to start adding info again.

Rimo! Good to see that VGM Rush is back again, and you've upgraded it! I'm very impressed and glad that you've made so much progress with this project. I assume it will be easier to keep things running now that you have a database and everything, don't forget to create regular backups. ;)

Very cool! While I don't see western game music around nearly as much as japanese game music, more often than not it holds it's own. (in terms of great sounding music.) I really like the download links option there, since it allows people not so savvy to find said music. (Almost like spreading the word, if you will)

One thing though: Wouldn't one classify the WarCraft series as Western Music? (I looked in the W section and didn't see a thing)

It certainly is Western VGM. The reason why there isn't any Warcraft game on the site is because I haven't gotten to add them to the database yet. However, I'm planning to cover all Blizzard music in the near future as it's some of the best out there.
