Apps in Japanese
I recently downloaded this game from a japanese site but the options are all in '?'. I can already type in japanese....but for some reason for some sites' writings can't be read. The only site with readable japanese is Famitsu. Is there a way I can make my computer recognize these characters? I want to avoid making the wrong settings for the game I just dled.
Thanks EDIT: Was able to get in the game but EVERYTHING was in boxes or question marks. Grrrrr help pleeeaaassee. |
Can you give us some websites for examples?
Also, have you tried using the Applocale utility with the game? The program is pretty easy to use, and there are plenty of guides online that tell you how to use it(should you need to stoop to that level). |

It will ask if you want to create a shortcut to always launch the game with Applocale. The smart answer is yes, so choose that and try the game out again. If it still doesn't work, I'm out of ideas. |
Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options
Languages Tab -> [v] Install files for East Asian languages Languages Tab -> Details -> Settings Tab -> Add -> Japanese, Microsoft IME Standard 2002 Dismiss by clicking Ok twice. Advanced Tab -> Change language from English (United States) to Japanese Note that this will make all "\" become Yen signs. So you'll have something like C:¥Documents and Settings¥Minoko¥ in your paths. |
Thanks I got it working !!!
