Extracting music from flash site.
I've been meaning on doing this for a while but I really wanna know how to extract music files (to any format for the time being) from flash-based websites. Most recently I REALLY want this song that play in the background of the BrĂ¼tal Legend website and I don't know how to extract them in any way. Suggestions on a process, however lengthy, would be appreciated so that I don't have to keep bitching about this every time I want a song from a flash site.

first thing must have flash file or link to download it,and there two types:swf & flv
1-if file swf will see it in Temporary Internet Files for your browser & use any program to extract swf, there alot of free programs to do that. 2-if file flv also can see it Temporary Internet Files for your browser & use Freez FLV to MP3 Converter (free) to extract to mp3 anywhere i rip it as same quality in website. Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem! |
I use Audio Hijack Pro to get any audio like this. It works great. If you don't want to buy it, there are others ways for a resourceful fellow like yourself to find a working serial number.

You want this file
Link and a SWF decompiler. Then search the source for the audio link. Most of the time it's pretty easy to find. I don't this this recording approach is very elegant because it involves the decoding step (bg music is probably compressed in mp3), so you habe to reencode it once again after recording. |
