Yes, allergies. Are you the allergic types? If yes, against what and how severe does it go?

For me, I'm allergic to a lot of things, but especially meat. Of course, not all kinds of meat; shrimps/prawns, crabs (I don't know about lobsters), chicken meat, and meat.

The seafood thingy affects me few times, causing red itchy rashes after I consume them, but now they rarely attack. Chicken meat causes some persistent acnes to grow on some parts of my body, while beef, the most severe one, causes huge boils to grow on my buttocks.

I used to be allergic to pollens, but not anymore.

Allergies affect me 24/7. I'm deathly allergic to cashews and quite a bit to cats, but it's the year-round pollen allergies that get to me. I've been tested and there's nothing in this area (San Antonio, TX) I'm allergic to supposedly, yet every time I open the door I get a sneezing attack that goes into an asthma attack and I itch all over constantly. This area is considered to be one of the worst places in the U.S. for allergies, and even people who "don't have allergies" are miserable in the spring and winter with oak and mountain cedar/juniper pollen.

I've tried just about every allergy medicine there is and only Benadryl helps, but it makes me too exhausted to function even 24 hours later. I've been told allergy shots wouldn't help me and that the only thing I can do is move back to California where I don't have any problems, but it's too expensive to move there :/ I wish I could do that though because the sneezing and asthma attacks keep me too worn out to do anything.

Everyone should buy stock in Puffs since I go through 2 large boxes of the aloe variety tissues a week...

I'm not really allergic to anything although I have noted extreme sensitivity whenever I eat cashew nuts and peanuts. It makes me mouth feel all tight. =/ But it doesn't bother me that much. Compared to the op and ^^, I'm allergy-free.

Luckily, I am not allergic to anything. No foods, no drinks, no pollens, pet dander, nothing.

When I was young I was mildly allergic to ragweed, but not anymore.

I have the stupidest allergies ever.
-Potato skins. Not the potato itself, just the skins.
-Metals. It's mostly the oxidized metals like bronze or copper but silver, steel and the like get at me after a while. Gold is the only thing that I don't react to.
-Kittens. For some reason, I don't react to grown cats but the kittens make me swell up like a balloon.

I'm allergic to chocolates (except the white ones), eggs, chicken..... but I still eat them :o All that happens to me is is get all sneezy, but thats okay than not having to eat those things :P

I'm not allergic to anything methinks. I'm usually sneezy all year round, but thats because I was a stupid kid when I was small, I snorted some hot spice through the nose in a bet and that has pretty much messed up my nose.

Oh, but I do get crazy diarrhea if I eat some fried eggs. As a kid, I used to fry a couple eggs a day with a friend because we were crazy about em. So because I kind of overate on the eggs I think my stomach started to say no to them. But it might have gone away now because I haven't eaten it in years, I just haven't had the will to risk it.

I am allergic to pork. Every time I eat it I get massive stomach cramps and, if I've eaten enough of it, I throw up. Let's just say I haven't done that in about thirteen years, and even then it wasn't intentional (my grandparents fed me pork ribs while telling me they were beef and you can guess what happened). This allergy goes well beyond the meat of the animal, though. If I eat refried beans made with pig lard my stomach cramps up. The same thing happens with gravy made with pork drippings, though in most cases I can smell or taste the pork in the food and just don't eat it.

I am also allergic to the stuff they give you when you get a CT scan. The problem is I don't remember if it was the stuff I drank or the stuff they injected into my IV that made me react (I was pretty young at the time) but it made me itch like crazy.

I have seasonal allergies - spring would be my favorite season of the year if it wasn't for them.

I'm allergic to climate change. Any time the weather changes drastically I burst out in spots overnight, always gone within a day or two, but fuck me it's annoying.

Also hot water. I get really bad heat rash just by going in the shower for 10 mins.

Not really allergies per say, but minor grievances I have with my body's reaction to everyday occurances.

Whenever I'm near most cats I'll find myself sneezing uncontrollably in a matter of minutes. For some reason, I'm alright around some cats, but more often than not cathair wrecks havoc on my senses.

My most notable allergy is citric acid. Any fruit (+ tomatoes) with a high concentration of citric acid will plummet my immune system. If I have any open cuts on my lips they will instantly swell up. In no time at all, I'll get a runny nose, start sneezing and coughing, then feel terrible for the majority of the day.

Allergy #1: Oranges. I used to get hives all over my body when I drank orange juice as a kid.

Allergy #2: I also used to have an allergic reaction to plain old water. Glad to see from Cameo that I'm not the only one. My hands and feet would swell up and I would get hives all over my torso whenever I touched cold water. How stupid is that? I couldn't even hold a can of cold soda. My fingers would swell up so much that I couldn't even make a fist. My best friend told me that it was "*#@%ing disgusting". I went to the doctor, got some prescription antihistimines, and after deliberately exposing myself to cold water I managed to get over the allergy.

I have a very severe allergy to cats. Even after I've taken allergy pills, it's not unusual for me to get a runny nose, and if by chance I happen to have put my hand anywhere a cat has been lying down/cleaning itself and then even remotely approach it to my eyes, they are going to be swollen, red and itchy as hell. Breathing also becomes a chore around cats.

I also have an allergy to certain types of fruit. I've never gone to see a specialist about it since it isn't too severe, But I do get break outs on my hands whenever I eat strawberries or raspberries.

As far as I know, I have none. I have not been stung by a bee so I would not know anything about that, but I do get quite sick when I smell cigarette smoke, not sure if that is one.

As a kid the most common allergies I heard of where cats, dogs, and sometimes eggs, these days just about every second person I meet is either allergice to nuts or fish, is there something in the enviroment that is causing people to be born with or develop these allergies?

I used to have severe hayfever and pollen allergies, but they've since cleared up.

Since the age of about thirteen, though, I've had pretty heavy problems with nuts and peanuts. If I eat a single almond, I get an itchy forehead and my tongue swells a little. If I eat a few, my entire body is impossible to resist scratching, and my throat closes up.

Although I haven't seen anyone about it yet, I strongly suspect I have an allergy to raw apples. Biting into one makes my mouth feel simultaneously numb and irritated.

Interestingly, my body goes BERSERK, but only from one single type of penicillin. I won't tell you guys what it is, so you can't go all Perfect Murder on me.

I'm mildly allergic to cats, my favourite house animal, which annoys me mentally more than physically.

Me too. My whole body reacts violently around cats, particularly indoor ones. My nose runs, my throat gets sore, I even start to itch all up my arms and neck. I don't dislike cats at all, I just have a problem with their fur everywhere (like up my nose).

My brother is allergic to tree nuts (walnuts, pecans, coconuts, cashews) but peanuts don't bother him at all. It's a certain chemical only nuts borne from trees possess, while peanuts, which are essentially roots, don't contain it. Of course, some people run the whole gamut, which I guess just comes from an aversion to the specific protein all nuts have. Fish, I don't know. Some people are allergic to seafood in general, despite being one of the easiest meats for out bodies to digest. Maybe there's something in the water...

Pollen and dust affect me. It used to be just a seasonal thing, but now I get affected everyday of the week. I usually take some medicine like claritin (doesn't work anymore). I also noticed that when I get these allergies and I get a little scratch, the area that was scratched will turn red and elevate as if it were some scar. My doctor said it was a phenomenon or something, heh.

That's a pretty hardcore reaction to coconut, buddy. I'm allergic to coconuts as well but I don't go into convulsions when I eat it.

So far that I know, the only thing I am allergic to is... any cream you use when a bug bites you. I once used it (i got bitten under an eye) and on the following day I was half blind ^^
That is why I use to suffer in silence when I am bitten xP

Thankfully, I'm really not allergic to anything. Or, I am, I don't know it, and it'll have dire consequences one day.

No food allergies than I'm aware of. But cat hair. Ugh. And to a lesser extent dog hair.

Keep those flea bitten fur balls away from me!

I am very allergic to animals. Enough to stop me from breathing. I can't live in a house with a dog or cat. I'd probably die or kill myself from the constant irritation.

For some reason I'm allergic to cats but I've never noticed any reaction when I pet a cat.
