Freddy vs Jason vs Ash
Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Apparently the guy who wrote the script for the movie that was canned because Sam Raimi pulled a dick move and decided Ash "wasn't right" for the movie, teamed up with DC comics and churned out this in a 6-issue series. From November 07 ending in March of 08, it depicts the antics of Ashley J. Williams in his quest to finding and destroying the Necronomicon. Freddy wants it to gain eternal power and it also has the power to turn Jason into a "real boy". http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/aa/FvJvA.jpg It's using the same script format that was supposed to have been used for the film. Rumors have been abound that after the comic series ends, a movie may be done of it. But who knows if Bruce Campbell would be interested in coming back as Ash (especially knowing what he looks like since seeing him on Burn Notice) I've been trying to find this series since learning about it. Anyone have any issues and can tell if it's any good or not? |
I wouldn't call what Sam Raimi did a "dick move" so much as "an incredibly good move". I wouldn't want to see the Evil Dead series go the way of Friday the 13th and Elm Street.

Good. Ash doesn't really belong with Freddy or Jason.
Now, if it were a Ash Vs Neville Flynn Vs The Bride... then that might be an interesting mixup. |
Yeah, the Evil Dead films should only be directed by Raimi. Period.

These sorts of match ups only ever work well in comics anyway.

Whatever, there's a few people from this place that were behind the idea back when it was announced a couple years ago before Raimi pulled the plug at THE LAST SECOND. :tpg: BUT THAT IS GETTING OFF THE TRACK HERE, SIRS.
Is the comic any good? I'm going to be in search for it over the next little bit... hoping that my friend who works in a comic book store can get his hands on some of them for me as well. |
This MIGHT have been interesting but I'm kind of glad that I don't have to find out the hard way that it ended up sucking.
