PS2 games
I download PS2 games from torrent spy and so on, but don't know how to burn them after I download it :( Does anyone know how??? Sould I just burn the game normally on dvds?

You do know you need a solution to bypass the PS2 copy protection, right? Solutions such as mod chips and MagicSwap? However, if you are equipped with any one of those tools, burning the file as an image is most likely the correct result. Low speed would be a safe option.

I haven't actually taken the modchip plunge on my PS2 yet (because the hardware is so damn flaky that I'd rather have the free repairs for DRE problems), but what I hear is that the media is very important.
A lot of people swear by Ritek media, and I've heard Verbatim mentioned as well. However, like I said, I don't know how accurate that is as I have zero experience actually doing this. Step 2, once you have the media, is to burn, at as slow a speed as possible, the image to disc using DVD-RW software that can read whatever image format you have. Just about everything reads ISO and BIN/CUE, but sometimes you get .ccd, .mdf, .cdr, and some other formats. Regardless, look up the file extension for software that supports it. After that, pop it in and hope for the best. As has been stated, you'll need some means of getting around the console's copy-prevention mechanisms, but at one point the DMS3 and Messiah chips were good choices. That was a few years ago so there are probably better ones out there. You can try gamecopyworld's forums for more help, or there are plenty of other folks here who will be able to give you much more detailed info than I can. |
I got the modchip inside the PS2 already, so I should burn the data on the dvd with low speed. OK, thanks I'll try :)
