Sadly... I need help finding drivers
So Compaq said they'd charge me 60.00 for them to help me find some drivers for my new laptop. A formatted my new Vista laptop to put XP on it, and then opened the box of things that came with the laptop, and realized there is no recovery disc. There is a partition called recovery, but for some reason I cannot see any of the files (I selected view hidden content, and still could not see it on XP). My laptop is a Presario F730. I can't seem to find the correct drivers anywhere, can anyone help?

This blog page seems to suggest that running XP on that model is fine. It has some links to drivers that will work.
Compaq Presario F572US notebook user review: It looks like we have another F-series laptop landing! (The F730us Discussion) This forum topic seems to also have some links that may be useful. Vista to Xp incompatibility , page 1 Obviously I wouldn't know for sure. I don't have the required hardware to test it on. |
Try Driver Genius Professional to find most drivers or download Hirens BootCD 9.3 there some program to identify most drivers for any pc or laptop

Thanks everyone for replying. However... I could not get the UAA driver and sound driver (are these the same thing?) the link was broken. I couldn't seem to find another link to the same file. Did anyone else have any luck? Thank you.
EDIT: It's the .inf file wis30b2a that I'm having trouble getting! |
