Firefox keeps defaulting personal settings
For some reason or another, Firefox keeps defaulting my user settings. I'm mainly trying to get rid of the bookmarks toolbar. I go through View > then untick bookmarks toolbar, I close down Firefox, and it's still there. I went through the about:config command to see if there was a value or integer I can change, but I didn't see any when I skimmed through. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Did you try to go to the toolbar Customization and click and drag the toolbar into the customization window, thus removing it?

Yeah, it only deletes the "Get Started" and "Latest Headlines" bookmark...the divider itself is still there, even after I close down Firefox. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but to no avail.

Not sure if I completely know what's going on nor what you want, but check your (assuming Windows) %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\profiles.ini file and see if you have any other profiles in your system. You may have to do some tweaking here, but I'm not sure.
