Flatbed scanner recommendations

I'm going to scan Chrono Cross Ultimania this December, as no definitive release exists yet. I need something decent, since there's a ton of art here.

I'm guessing I'll batch-run all the resulting files through Photoshop to fix the...the whatever, the dot thing. Damn, used to know what that was called...

Any suggestions for a particular scanner? I've got this ancient HP Scanjet, and it's starting to bug out. I've been going over options on Newegg.

Moire?

In general, Epson and Canon offer great scanners. But what sets scanners apart is their ability to properly descreen printed images.

I have one of the more expensive Epson scanners, but I've found that the descreen on the cheapest Canon actually resulted in cleaner images. But since artbooks generally have higher DPI, you might want to go with an Epson, which ensures accurate scans.

Thanks. Yeah, halftone / moire. I went through an entire tutorial for that the first time I scanned just the character art in January 2006, but I was on a serious schedule with real life and blew through it with my old scanjet and no real correction. The result is pretty blurry. Interestingly, Creative Uncut's Chrono Cross art doesn't look as hot as it should either; the colors seem a little too dark and the resolution too small. I think I'll donate if I can produce superior rips. Of course, the best stuff comes from the Missing Piece artbook (not Ultimania), but the designers threw up Japanese all over the colored character art.

I'm looking at Newegg.com - EPSON Perfection V200 B11B188011 4800 dpi 48bit USB Interface Flatbed Scanner - Retail unless I decide to go a little higher.
