Post your academic major ITT

Hey guys if you're in college post your major because it'd be interesting to see what GFFers study and all.

Sociology here.

Alai Nov 25, 2007 06:46 PM

Studying Electrical and Computer Engineering. I'm also minoring in Astronomy.

I'll graduate this May.

Also, what does ITT stand for?

Radez Nov 25, 2007 06:47 PM

Why only people who are currently in college? I got a degree too you know. =(

It was Math with a minor in French and Religion.

Temari Nov 25, 2007 06:50 PM

English (Literature) and Writing. :)

Chaotic Nov 25, 2007 07:03 PM

I'm a musical composition major. I'm studying in a classical program but I nonetheless have access to a few jazz classes.

Computer stuff degree, currently working in some certifications. ('Cause 564813 years work experience < fancy papers)

Lizardcommando Nov 25, 2007 08:00 PM

I'm going to be majoring in Art, more specifically in animation/illustration.

Wall Feces Nov 25, 2007 08:00 PM

Got my degree in film production. +1 post count achieved.

Paper Crane Nov 25, 2007 08:56 PM

I'm majoring in Mass Communications. We talk about how Facebook and Myspace are media devils. Good times.

No. Hard Pass. Nov 25, 2007 09:05 PM

Honours Degree in Socio-Cultural anthropology, with special attention paid to concepts of Personhood and political approaches. A lot of work with things like sexuality, sub-cultures and tattoing. Currently doing my joint masters-phD. Specific region attention paid to East Asia, as I'm mostly based out of Japan. Some physical work, but mostly limited to digging in the dirt in Polynesia and South America.

Dual major in film production, specializing in Cinematography/Director of Photography and writing.

Minors in History (East Asian), and biology (evolutionary, vertebrate).

I also have the required credits for theatre, but you can only declare so many majors/minors when you graduate.

I'm majoring in Golden Age Pornography. Contrary to popular belief, Ron Jeremy is not a member of my studies. He is, however, a personal hero. I think I'm going to go on and try for a Masters in Muff Divers Of The 60's.

The courses may stink, but I hear the climatic ending is worth it.

I'm working on a major in nursing with a minor in biology. The minor is only something I'm considering since I'm only a few classes away from completing it, and also because the nursing major itself doesn't give much time to take extra classes during the semester.

I have a B.A. in English, but I hated every class for the major. Then I got an M.A. in Media Communications, and that was much more fun since I spent my time writing about games instead of contemplating the meaning of silly things.

Arainach Nov 25, 2007 09:53 PM

Honors B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Criminal Justice. If my Senior Year goes like the first 3 have been, should be Summa Cum Laude as well.

orion_mk3 Nov 25, 2007 10:12 PM

I was an English (literature) major and history minor as an undergraduate, and went on to earn an MA in English. I used that to teach writing at the college level for two years.

Now I'm working on my second MA in information science. This new degree does make that first MA kind of unneccessary, but it was free, so I'm not complaining.

Yeah, honour BA in anthro, BA in film.

5 years, total. I had certain IB courses going in that hooked me up with college credit. Much of a highschool fuck up as I was, I had a few choice bits that let me skip ahead.

Dullenplain Nov 25, 2007 10:32 PM

A Bachelors of Science in Geological Sciences.

And yet I started out declaring Economics.

The Wise Vivi Nov 25, 2007 10:42 PM

I have a degree in History and a Minor in Geography, and currently doing a second degree in Native Studies and minor in English, which I will have in May.

Summonmaster Nov 25, 2007 10:43 PM

Currently aiming towards a degree in Commerce, with a specialization in Human Resources. (Changed mindset from accounting)

Also aiming for a minor in Japanese, and possibly a second degree in Music should time ever permit.
