Computer Work
Hello everybody. Right now I am in college but don't know what to do with myself.
I want to work with computers, but I'm not sure what I could do. Programming? Making a webpage? I don't know anything about what to do in this field. What kind of jobs are there in the computer world I can take a part in? Some that maybe you do here? You guys can recommend something good for me it would help me and my poor confused ukraine mind. |

I do not think that people on forums suggesting specific occupations will help you. You need to find out what type of computer related occupation you can enjoy and tolerate for the rest of your life. Do you have the creativity it takes to design webpages? Do you have the patience for programming? Is this something you want to do until you're able to retire? Questions like this will help you decide.

I don't even know the available jobs. do you understand? I can't even begin to think of which I would like because I don't know the list.

That'd be like me going somewhere asking to cook...but not knowing what I can cook or even want to cook |
Just take accounting. Women LOVE counting money.
Greedy pigs. |
Computer jobs are crap. Most of them become gay IT guys who plug in ethernet cables all day, but the smart ones become web page designers.
You know, a job that requires creativity, a little bit of math but not an overwhelming amount, all that good stuff. |
If you are asking this because you are wanting a lucrative career in computers, stop right there. So many people tried that, especially many years back before the dot com crash. It even led my college to enforcing a "You must take these two classes first and pass with at least a B to stay in the major" rule because people would take the major, but hated it, because they saw money in it.
That being said, it really depends on your interests. Programmer, Tech Support, research, and then the various markets with each concerning Video games, Language Learning, and so many others provides a bit of variety. My advice is to decide WHAT part of Computer Science interests you most, and find out the corresponding courses related to it. |
