Putting downloaded game saves to PSP
 

The game in question here is FFT war of the lions.

I saw some game saves on gamefaqs.com and thought I'd try them for kicks,
it looks simple enough, unzip the folder, copy and paste it into the gamedata folder on the PSP, I go to the memory stick and it can see that it is there, but when I turn on the game, I can't select it. I do have my own save game on the memory stick too.

Am I missing something?

maybe you put wrong version (Na,Jp,Eu)

I downloaded the Na one, which is wny I am so confused. It should work fine.

hmmm the guys that you've downloaded the save probably saved in slot1 too in the game. so try to back up your gamesaves files and erase them from your memory stick. Keep only the downloaded save, maybe it will work.

There's probably some kind of hardware ID or something to that affect where you can't download a save from the internet. Did you (dreadfully) check those message boards to see if anyone else is having a similar issue?

that was the first thing I thought of when it did not work the first try, in fact I have a blank 30meg memory stick, i just tried pasting the folder on that stick alone. must be a issue with the file itself.

I'll try looking though the gamefaqs boards, if nothing turns up, I guess the dude's file must be corrupted or something. Thanks for trying though.

Just checked the message boards, the so-called U.S files where actually for the European release. guess Gamefaqs did not notice.
