2D to 3D
So I've been doing a lot of 3d modeling lately and wanted to practice working from other people's concepts. If you post a drawling in here, I'll do my best (time permitting) to build a 3d model out of the character or whatever. Here's an example of something that I've been working on.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...gs/turdmen.jpg and http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...turdmenwip.jpg Not perfectly accurate, but you get the idea. I don't know how many I'll be able to do, but whatever. Post some drawlings if you're interested. |
I think its pretty accurate. :3 The guy on the left mouth's opening is a bit more dramatic in the original, and there was that toilet thingy. The rendering looks really awesome, by the way. Where is Ulysses when you need him? I'd post drawing, but I don't think it is particularly good for modeling in Zbrush. I am guessing its probably much better for something that is more organic.

Hey, depending on time, I'll see what I can do. I've seen some amazing metalwork armor stuff done in zbrush, so there's no reason why I shouldn't be able to figure it out.

What format can that program put the 3d models in? XML or DXF?
I can use both of those formats to generate tool path for my CNC mill to make 3d models of the draws (ie like a little statue). I can also use regular image files to generate 2D art in metal/wood/plastic/etc. |
