Today, we added categories to GGMD.

It mostly came from the idea to re-merge the album comment threads to the main forum to give a more coherent overall aspect.

The categories are pretty self-explanatory, but let's have a rundown anyway.

For, hum, VGM related News. X compose will compose Y upcoming game. Z album to be released on ... etc ...

Basically is for anything that used to belong to album comment. News threads about upcoming albums can turn into Album comment ones if people actually start discussing the music in it when it's released.

Thoughts ? The system isnt carved in stone or anything. We can actually discuss it and improve it with time.

Nice job. I always pictured SoTW as either a fading orange or sky blue color,
but that's like the tiniest bickering thing ever.

Well, as far as visuals are concerned I hope the current buttons are not final. Their flashy/shiny style and the inconsistent use of font weights/sizes in them clashes with the otherwise flat and clean/reserved look of the rest of the board imo.

Maybe we should rethink the dimensions of the entire button set :(

Well, like I said in the past, I'd be more for something looking like the RSS or XHTML compliant buttons you see here and there, but heh, I dunno. What do people say in the other forums ?

I think the button dimensions are fine. Maybe they could be a little smaller, but each thread row takes up two lines of text anyway, so the current buttons fill out the space well.

I know! But it would be nice to have the template you guys currently use for buttons so I could make them consistent looking. :)

I think these are fine and will do us just dandy. It's not like there's enough shit in GGMD that we would get confused if we didn't have them anyhow.
