The internet law
Hey all, I have some questions for those of you who know anything about web pages, the law, and etiquette in regards to making one.
I plan on making a blog, with a home page, and then a side bar with links to other websites, essays I write, movie of game reviews, etc. I was wondering though, mostly with linking and images. Can I use links to other websites on mine? or is it illegal or looked down upon? Also, can i use image art from other websites? Not like actual copywrited art, but lets say for instance I want to review a new album by Creed. Can I find a picture of the album art and use it on my page? or is that illegal without their consent? Thanks |
You have to be kidding me.
Please tell me you're kidding me. All the things you listed are completely and totally fine. Except for Creed but this isn't the place to rank on your taste in music. |

EDIT* Thank you |
I'm pretty sure that all of that is a-ok. Just sounds like any old regular blog really.

Well if that is ok, then what can't I do?

If the item was unique, you'd want to list the source.

I believe you can post soundclips that are less than 10(?) seconds long and under 128kps without people getting mad at you.

Just be sure not to hotlink off of their webhosting as well.
