Need some help with iTunes...

Is there anyway to add folders to the library in iTunes without adding any playlists that might be in those folders? I mean, I know you can remove the playlists from those folders before adding them to the library, but is there an easier way? Those playlists end up making the tags on my iPod show up all weird.

They also can end up adding the same songs twice. And no, there's no good way. Just delete the playlists. You can either drag in the playlist, or drag in the folder, but not both. I highly recommend just nuking any *.m3u file from geostationary orbit. With correctly tagged files, they're completely unnecessary.

You can't tell itunes to ignore them?

I set my winamp to ignore them to prevent exactly what you described.

I wouldn't know how to do that in iTunes. :(

How is deleting the M3Us annoying? Just do a find in that path for *.m3u, then delete 'em all. Easy.

Actually I found an easier way. Just search all your .mp3s and then drag and drop them to iTunes. :)
