Making ISO on the HARD DRIVE!

Heya,

I have a 5.79 GB file.... and it's in Audio TS/Video TS format... I wanna burn this onto a DVD but I DO have to shrink it and all

So first I wanna make an iso file and put in ONTO my hard drive... what program do I use for this? Nero won't let me unless it's on a DVD

Thanks for any help

ShrinkDVD in combination with MagicISO or something similar.

well the problem is DVD Shrink encountered an error opening those files... but I KNOW they work and this isn't the first time that DVD Shrink said this

So I kinda need an alternative to DVD Shrink

You have a 5.79 file ? That means you already have an ISO or what?
I'm going to go ahead and assume that you have the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders (with the VOB, IFO, BUP files in the Video_ts folder.)

If you want to make an ISO from that.. you can use MagicISO like Grawl suggested. I personally use ImgBurn.

Using ImgBurn..
1. Set it to "build" mode and add both the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folder to your compilation.
2. In the options tab on the right side, the Filesystem format should be set to ISO9660,UDF 1.02 by default. That filesystem is used often for DVD Video for best compatability with dvd drives and players.
3. Labels tab, you can label it whatever the hell you want.
4. And then at the top, set Output to Image File, instead of Device
5. Hit the build button.

Hrmm.. I guess you only need those filesystem format and labeling if you were making the ISO for burning.
But, if you just need an ISO for re-encoding or transcoding sakes.. you can use whichever program is easier for you, I guess.
