While not technically correct, I like her title A LOT better.

I think most people would, yeah.

Jujubee Sep 12, 2007 09:43 PM

Thank God this will be on 360. I was wondering what tri-Ace would do next, that music on the official website sounds like Sakuraba-sama's work. :D

Kairi Li Sep 13, 2007 02:54 AM

...Wow, I can't believe that's the actual title. My bad. (Or is it... THEIR bad for their Engrish?)

Can a mod here please edit the title?

Black Mage Sep 13, 2007 07:58 AM

If Star Ocean 4 was completely confirmed for the 360 today, I would go out and buy a 360 tomorrow. That would be the last push I'd need.

Infinite Undiscovery looks pretty so far, but that's all I can really say. I have pretty high faith in tri-Ace, so that's enough to statisfy me.

As far as the name, I kind of like it. Obviously not grammatically correct, but I think it has a nice ring to it.

Here's hoping we get more information on the game soon.

Well gramatically it's fine, the jar is simply that it seems to mean "endless amounts of not finding anything," which sounds less than fun, heheh.

Jurassic Park Chocolate Raptor Sep 13, 2007 11:36 AM

No, it's not. Undiscovery isn't a word. They might as well call it "The funner game". Grammatically correct would be "Nondiscovery", or possibly "Indiscovery". The only real form of that word that's legit with the current prefix is "Undiscovered".

Hindman Sep 13, 2007 02:18 PM

Cool.

Any bets on them changing the name before it gets released in North America? Or at least a different name for the NA release.

Single Elbow Sep 14, 2007 12:17 AM

What you see is what you get.

If PS3 has Star Ocean 4, then 360 owners get this. Choose your poison gents.

Jujubee Sep 14, 2007 12:42 AM

Star Ocean 4 on PS3? Since when? According to IGN SO4's platform isn't determined yet. IGN: Star Ocean 4 Detailed
I was hoping PS3 would just die so all RPGs can be focused on one console. Or at least be multiplatform.

It was listed as PS3 on JeuxFrance, Ruliweb, and...did Famitsu.com say that as well? Several credible websites, anyway.

Forsety Sep 14, 2007 01:47 AM

Yup, the topic about Star Ocean for the PSP confirmed Famitsu said the platform for SO4 was the PS3. Go scope out the last page of that topic for details.

OmagnusPrime Sep 14, 2007 06:44 AM

Certainly does look pretty. Hopefully this is a way off as there's already a handful of RPGs coming out for the 360 I want to get and at this rate I'll have my gaming schedule booked into 2010.

The Plane Is A Tiger Sep 14, 2007 03:20 PM

Yet another reason why I need to get a 360. I wasn't very impressed by watching the Blue Dragon demo, so it's nice to see Tri-Ace jumping on board with a new RPG. I'm already looking forward to this after just those four screens.

chato Sep 14, 2007 04:08 PM

So another pixelated rpg coming to the 360 , huh? jk. It feels good to see the tri-ace logo again. I already have a 360 but it's been collecting dust for 2-3 months >.>. The theme track sounds like Sakuraba's work. Is he going back to his old classic ways again? >=]. Seriously, the way he does it now..it's not him at all.

IMO, the screenshots for this looks more interesting then the preview ss of SO4...So far.

Kuhazan Sep 14, 2007 04:28 PM

I thought Motoi Sakuraba's work in Tales of Symphonia and Tales of the Abyss was pretty damn good... Star Ocean : Till the End of Time... not so much.... the music didn't quite sound as good as SO1 or SO2... since he did good with Tales of the Abyss I suspect he's gone back to the good days... or SO3 was just one of those projects he was drunk on or something...

I haven't tried out the recent tales games lately (however, I'm sure he never fails to make the music great in the tales series). But Sakuraba was getting lame at the start of SO3. Some songs was such a huge turn off that I couldn't complete SO3 at that one time. VP2's music was just disappointing. It was nothing like part 1. Why do you think they give the ability to change theme songs during a battle? ;p What's with all that damn piano and jazz? Sorry fans who like all that jazz but he's just reaching that peak (or so I thought since I like the music in IU site). Can't blame the guy since he's always doing so much for every other game. They say that story comes first than graphics. Well I'm sort of in for the story and the music. The graphics I can care less as long as they can execute a great battle system whether its 2d or 3d.

Monkey King Sep 16, 2007 07:16 PM

And here I thought it was an unforgivable blasphemy to suggest that anything Sakuraba did was less than genius; people were adamant that SO3 was his greatest work to date when the soundtrack first came out.

The game looks pretty, at least. It's hard to tell if the game system is being modeled after Valkyrie Profile 2 or Star Ocean, but neither would get a complaint from me. The characters look awful generic, though. I'm really starting to wonder if, in this day and age of high-res textures, artists are paying more attention to bump-mapping every hair ona character's head than they are to aesthetic character designs.

Gametrailers.com - Infinite Undiscovery - TGS 07 Debut Trailer HD

firsy trailer. look pretty good to me ^^ and I love the music!

oh and anyone got a certain Valkyrie Profile feel to it? (in design and combat system a little) (yeah I know it's being made by the same company XD)

I guess i'll need to buy a 360 in the next year :)

Tankalex_Storm Sep 21, 2007 12:06 AM

WOW! this game looks amazing. I've only seen the trailer and I'm already looking forward to it.
