Best free online games?
 

I'm wondering if there are other good online games out there. Gunbound is the only thing that comes in my mind right now.

MapleStory PSO is pretty awesome when you don't have to pay for it. I found a private server for Blue Burst pretty recently and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

I tried MapleStory and didn't much care for it at all. I don't see what everyone seems to think is so great about it.

I have been spending quite a lot of time recently on Tales Of Pirates (Pirate King Online). It is an animé style MMORPG. It's very easy to get into as the help menu is always at hand, and it is completely free, that is unless you start using the item mall that they have there.

What is the big deal about maplestory? My friends made me watch some video on youtube with a "epic" boss battle, and it looked to be extremely boring. It looks like a platformer with different classes... :\

Soldat and Subspace both offer oldschool style 2d arcade action but with the modern over-the-internet shit talk.

Soldat's a side-on run and gun style affair. Subspace a top-down space combat thingy-o. You can jump into Soldat pretty quickly but Subspace takes practice and mad skillz (and is more rewarding).

The original Guild Wars is dirt cheap, and after the initial payment for the game (£15) it is free and worth every penny of the initial investment.
