[hide] tags, mark II
**Hidden Content**
|
As far as I can tell, it doesn't work.
Can't you just quote the post to reveal the content anyway? |
Moderators can always see hidden content.
Also quoting the post isn't supposed to work. The original preg_match mask doesn't work now since [hide] takes options. I'll have to tweak those. (Edit: quoting is now fixed) And now that I'm plugging into the bbcode parser as opposed to manipulating the post data after parsing, I'll have to bypass post caching. EDIT: It should be working now. [hide=500,30d] <-- this hides messages from people with below 500 postcount and 30 days registration. [hide=30d], [hide=500], [hide=30d,500] are valid combinations. For original behaviour just use [hide]. If you do something like [hide=500,600,30d,2000,12d] the highest values will take effect. |
it seem to work, I can't see the second content since I don't have 2000 posts ^^
|
I didn't know I didn't have 1000 posts. :o
Quick test: **Hidden Content** EDIT: Guess it's not on yet? D: |
You can always see the hidden content in your own posts.
|
Finally! Many thanks to you Blah, this is greatly appreciated by all of us, especially at the My Stuff forum. :) Keep up the good work!
|
Thanks Blah. Many props for this feature. It will be extremely useful in discriminating against leechers.
Let's test it out: **Hidden Content** |
Christ, this means I have to write about 700 more posts. Better get started!
A nice feature, though, I can see the usefullnes. |

God damnit, now I have to wait a few more years before I can read whatever the fuck you just wrote, Kirby. :(
|
But hide tags only activate once per post. So if you activate one hide tag, the remaining hide tags should appear, right?
|
Technically yes, but I set the first hide tag to 1,000 posts at 50 days, and the second to 5,000 posts at 1,000 days (which is almost three years). Nobody here has 5k posts yet according to the members list.
I changed the second hide tag to 5k posts at 365 days. Anything different? |
The hide rules take precedence over activation. If you've previously activated a post and the post owner changes rules, you'll be bound by those new rules.
And rules are processed for each hide tag, so it's possible to have only part of a post activated. |
Can you make it so we see the requirements for viewing hidden content?
Also, how does the Content Accessed By work? |
Needs ability to hide according to member number (both inclusively and exclusively)

**Hidden Content**
EDIT: Doesn't crash or vomit (works the same as plain [hide]). Good stuff. :thumbs up: |
heh. Kinda cool, but could be annoying if abused.
|
Let me figure it out.
**Hidden Content** Ok. Wow. How does this work? |

Testing normal hide tag. Apparently it doesn't want to work...?
**Hidden Content** Odd, how come it works here and not there? EDIT: O...k, so I guess my computer is fucked up. FALSE ALARM. |
